Girls Introduced to Aviation in Free Program
The NETHERLANDS Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) has announced that a free virtual event will take place the 14th of November for young girls (and boys!) ages 15 to 18 years to introduce them to the possibilities available in a career in aviation. The event will take place online and will be accessible by all after registration.
MPS company visit
On 13th December we will be visiting MPS, company that develops, manufactures and maintains type specific simulators, using actual Boeing B737 and Airbus A320 flight decks.

Women in Aviation International – The Netherlands Chapter (WAI-NL) is partnering with EUROCONTROL to host its 1st Girls in Aviation Day at EUROCONTROL Headquarters (Brussels).
WAI – The Netherlands Chapter becomes WAI – European Network Chapter
Today, 10th May 2021, is a turning point for the Netherlands Chapter. After three years of active work, the Board and its members made the decision to focus on creating an European Network and hence repositioning itself as WAI – European Network Chapter, which will elevate visibility and better align the organisation’s name with its recognised mission and commitment to women and girls in Europe.

MPS is pleased to host Women in Aviation - The Netherlands Chapter on December 13th as part of our efforts to encourage women of all ages to consider a career in the aviation industry. Agenda items will include a career exploration discussion led by our Operations Manager Jessica de Ron, an in-depth tour of the MPS facility, simulator operation and a questionnaire session with our CEO Philip Adrian.
Ensuring European aviation is more gender balanced
European aviation is working to improve gender balance in the industry. Since 2018, EUROCONTROL has been actively promoting diversity and gender in its HR processes and internally with our staff, and working with partner organizations to try to make a difference.
Girls in Aviation Day 2019 Reaches 20,000 Attendees
With 118 individual events presented worldwide, Women in Aviation International’s October 5 Girls in Aviation Day 2019 reached approximately 20,000 attendees. Truly an international event, Girls in Aviation Day was celebrated not just in the United States but in 17 other countries in Canada and Australia as well as countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe.
